Still have some questions?

I HAVE ANSWERS!

  • How do I reserve my wedding date?
I reserve on a first-come, first-served basis. A 30% non-refundable retainer and signed contract is required to secure your wedding date.
  • How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you know your date and wedding venue is best! At Styled by Marissa we only book 12 months in advance, but often times dates go as soon as they are opened, with Saturdays being the first to go! I would highly recommend booking your hair and makeup artists ASAP!
  • Do you travel?
You bet I do!! I will go where ever you want to take me! Travel packages are based on a $100 per hour rate, traveling from the 55433 zip code. Travel over 1.5 hours will be considered "out of town" and require a $250+ lodging fee be added to your Travel package. Travel over 3 hours will be considered "destination" require additional inquires.
  • What if I don't yet have a final count for services?
It is important to confirm the number of services as soon as possible; however, if you have someone in your party that is undecided, I would leave them out at the time of booking. You have until 90 days prior to the wedding to add up to 4 additional styles.
  • How many people can you accommodate?
We currently allow a headcount max of 12.
  • Can I make changes to my contract after it has been signed?
A maximum of 4 additional services can be added up to 90 days before your wedding and must be approved. Removing services is not allowed after signing and paying the non-refundable retainer. Have a change in your getting ready location? No worries, I will update your contract and invoice to reflect accordingly.
  • What if I don't have a bridal party?
No bridal party? No worries - I would still love to be a part of your day. See details for the Bride Only package on the Services page!!
  • What if I have curly hair?
I love when brides/bridesmaids wear their natural texture! Wash and use curly products as normal. If you decide not to, I will recommend that you wash and dry your hair using a brush to smooth out your texture as much as you can.
  • Is a Bridal Preview Appointment required?
Bridal Previews are required. This will give us a chance to talk about the details of your hair, and create your wedding day look. It will give us both an idea of what to expect on your wedding day.
  • When should I schedule my Bridal Preview?
I will reach out 4 months before your wedding to get your bridal preview on the books. I recommend scheduling your preview between 4-8 weeks before your wedding - by then all of the details will have come together!
  • Can I have a Preview before I book?
Due to an influx of inquires and salon availability, a paid retainer and signed contract is required to schedule a bridal preview.
  • Is the preview a separate cost, and how long is it?
Each preview is included in your Bridal Package. The appointments are scheduled for 2 hours long. All previews are held at my studio in Plymouth, MN. Coming from out of state, just reach out! I am happy to accommodate the best I can for your travel plans.
  • Can I bring my mom or a friend to my preview?
I recommend coming alone to your preview appointment. I prefer a one on one appointment as we really dive into the details of your style. This helps us customize a look together that you love! My studio is also pretty limited on space. If someone must come with you, 1 person is allowed (no children).
  • How many looks can I see during my preview?
Most brides have time to see 1 to 2 looks on themselves during their 2-hour preview appointment. Try to narrow down your inspiration photos before the appointment.
  • Can my mom schedule a preview appointment?
Yes - anyone receiving day-of services can schedule a preview appointment before the wedding. All previews are $250 and 2 hours long.
  • How should I prep my hair for the preview appointment?
See my preview and day-of prep guide HERE!
  • What do I receive in my wedding prep guide + kit?
During your preview, you will receive your wedding day guide + kit. You'll get products to prep your hair with for the wedding day, including shampoo, conditioner, and blow + set, and volumizer.
